This is a good safe for the money and Gun Safes is the best place to buy it. It's secure enough to keep the average thief away from any firearms you have stored in it. It's also solidly constructed.

Sure there are bigger and badder out there, but most folks' first safe is the little $150 locker from Home Depot with a key. This Centurion by Liberty is a great value for anyone, though I wasn't thrilled that it's made in China (Liberty's higher-end models are not). Makes you wonder about how much cheaper it is to manufacture over there considering freight and weight! This thing is plenty roomy to hold enough weaponry, ammo, and important documents and hard drives to last you through the next disaster, though I all but filled it up day-one. Obviously depends on how much stuff you have that is important. Also, the EMP-proof combination lock was a deciding factor, if you're into that issue (no electronic keypad to get fried when you least need it to be inoperable after a nuclear blast or major CME sun event). This gen-X digital guy went old school as such on purpose. Looks great in my home office, but still intentionally out of the way. I'm not a large guy but was able to (barely) move this by myself a few feet off its small wooden pallet and into a corner (there are 4 bolts on the inside to it). Having someone else assist to make sure it doesn't dump over on you would be recommended. It comes with a pre-set random combination (XX-XX-XX) spun in various directions and increments, which is preferable to you choosing your favorite year as a PIN for critical security (like an e-lock). I also like that the dial locks with a couple included keys, so that's another (small) layer of security that you don't get on an e-lock (and this is cheaper!). The build quality seems very good, though the fire seal isn't stuck onto the threshold very well. Am hoping I won't have to test that. But it does have that 'bank vault' feel to it. Four lock cylinders on the L/R sides of the door. I believe I spotted a small hole in the rear/bottom for wiring in a de-humidifier/light/etc. At any rate, unless you're a safe snob and just want a solid, nice looking, well built little bunker under a thousand bucks to keep your unmentionables in, you're going to be pleased with this model. I know I am so far after a month, and hopefully will be for many many years.
