First of all, the safe is flawless. I love the adjustable shelf system, and the DPX door organization is awesome. No other brand can compare. Operation is smooth, the door locks reasonably tight. Things you expect from a safe like this. I ordered the black gloss. Flawless, until the move, but there was touch-up paint inside, so we’re good there too.
One thing to note, and it shouldn’t be a surprise if you are looking at this one… it’s heavy. I put it in my basement, and it is probably a permanent fixture now. I had a stair climbing dolly, which made the stair part easy, but manhandling it to that point (on the porch, over the threshold, across the floor) was tough. Thankfully, I didn’t damage the floor or threshold.
Gunsafes.com (or clickshops), were surprisingly knowledgeable for an internet retailer like this, the safe came in about 2 weeks, and the price was almost the best I could find. The only better price was across state lines, skipping the sales tax (I live close), but I would have had to wait about 5 months for when they made their next bulk order.

I received the safe yesterday and was very impreesed with the quality of the finished product.The shippers, who delivered to my basement, were impressed with the weight for the size. The shelf system and the door storage easily fit the rifles and handguns, along with some other items I am storing in the safe. Very solid, well made, heavy, high quality, intelligent storage, that's what you find in the SR26f safe. I had to purchase a safe after the local newspaper published the name and address of every licensed permit holder on a satellite map with a picture of my home. Now I feel a little better about the security of my guns. Gunsafes.com made the purchase easy!

I have had this safe for over 6 months now. I have the biometric lock and it opens in ~2 seconds using finger print input (every time). Try putting in a 10 digit code in that time. Small enough for walk-in closets, yet large enough for multiple hand guns, rifles, and ammo. Sound construction and impressive paint job. GunSafes.com kept me informed on the status of my order and delivered what they promised.
If you have kids/grandkids….Don't own a gun without a safe like this one! Quick access for you….No access for them!

<p>Browning makes a pretty and outstanding Safe. Would recommend this safe for anybody that has 10 or less long guns. </p><p>Pros: Scope panel on door, Internal lighting, External Plug for AC power and many other small items.</p><p>Cons: Just one, For its size it is heavy (720+ lbs)</p>

This safe gets five stars. I'm very pleased. Mind you, I looked at other brands prior to buying the Browning safe. I especially looked at Liberty. They try hard, but they are, quite honestly, inferior. For example, Liberty uses internal hinges; Browning's hinges are external. Therefore, the Liberty's doors only open 80 degrees; the Browning opens 180 degrees. This means you can access all your guns more comfortably; you can even store some on the inside of the door! Those Liberty internal hinges also mean two big gaps in your fire protection. The Browning safe seem to be thoroughly thought out and extremely well-designed. The whole thing just exudes quality. This, of course, is characteristic of all Browning products. Browning is what people buy when they want the very best. Nobody beats Browning.
